We have a new career opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the engineering operations out of our clients manufacturing facility near Birmingham
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the team to deliver a complete range of technical services for our client accounts both locally and the wider region.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Factory, Site and Office based team’s
- Deliver a full range of technical services to clients
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders both externally with our clients /prospective clients and within the wider business.
- Ownership to deliver the P&L and ensure the financial viability of our offerings are in line with our budget
- Look for additional business opportunities by developing existing accounts as well as looking for new business opportunities across the wider business
- Ensuring commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing is promoted and the high standards we have across areas are maintained
We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who:
- A proven track record within a management role in the Mechanical or Process services environment is essential
- Be commercially aware and be comfortable dealing with quotes, budgets etc
- Have experience in delivering projects on manufacturing sites, preferably in the food / hygienic manufacturing sectors
- A seasoned manager with experience in client facing, fast moving manufacturing environments.
- Excellent project management experience
- Experience of identifying and implementing effective business improvements
- An experienced people manager
- First class customer service skills with a collaborative approach of working with clients
- A flexible approach to working in an ever changing working landscape
Specific Qualifications
- Qualified in an engineering qualification to at least HNC standard
- Leadership and management training
- Industry Training qualifications
- Experience of using Design software (Autocad/Inventor etc) and other business support software (MS Office)

Salary: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
