The University of Suffolk Dental Community Interest Company (CIC) is an exciting and innovative collaboration between the University of Suffolk and the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board, seeking to provide high-quality NHS dental services to the population of Suffolk through brand new, state of the art clinical facilities situated on the scenic Ipswich Waterfront. The CIC will open its doors to patients in Spring 2023.
As a new provider of NHS dental care in the region the CIC is well-placed to offer ordinary dentistry delivered with extraordinary care. Our ethos is all about enabling dental care, improving oral health by increasing access to dental services and at the same time providing opportunities for those starting or continuing a dental career in the East of England.
We have an ambitious vision for the future of the CIC and we are looking for an exceptional individual to work the Chair of Board, CEO and Pro Vice Chancellor (Health) to establish the Ipswich site, ensure full regulatory compliance and work with external stakeholders to enhance the impact the enterprise can have upon the oral health of region.
The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of the daily running of the CIC, ensuring that the clinic is operating at optimal efficiency and working with the CEO to ensure all regulatory and statutory requirements are met.
As a key member of the management team, the Operations Manager will also provide strategic support for the business. In an overall capacity, the role is responsible for managing the clinic, staff and delivery of excellent patient care.
This will be a key role in the set up and on-going development of the Community Interest Company. Depending on timing, appointment may initially be ‘hosted’ by the University of Suffolk (with subsequent TUPE transfer to the Community Interest Company, which will then directly employ). The terms and conditions of the appointments will be those of the CIC rather than the University. Further information can be provided at interview.
