We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager
The Opportunity:
SEBI-Livestock (hereafter SEBI-L) is a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) funded programme that provides core data, monitoring and learning service to BMGF’s Livestock Team. Owing to SEBI-L’s success, we are now expanding. We have created a new Senior Operations Manager position to manage SEBI-L operations and ensure we deliver a high quality of service. We are looking for someone who has significant programme management experience with a proven track record in delivering outputs within the constraints of time, resources and costs. An understanding of the university system, experience working in low and middle-income countries/ or internationally, science background and/or livestock knowledge would be advantageous. This position would suit candidates who are solutions orientated, flexible with a creative approach.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in relevant subject (e.g. Management or Scientific)
- Significant experience working in an senior operational or management role with proven track record delivering solutions in challenging business environments.
- Significant experience of managing and developing teams and/or projects/programmes
- Team player who builds effective relationships and establishes trust with colleagues at all levels
- Strong interpersonal skills. Flexible and diplomatic with proven negotiating skills to resolve conflicts and find common ground
