We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Nuthampstead.
You’ll assess operational methods and propose ways to improve them. To succeed is this role, you should be a good problem-solver with sharp, analytical thinking. Key duties and responsibilities....

  • You would be responsible for the Customer Service, Projects, Procurement, Warehouse & Logistics teams with up to 10 direct reports.
  • To recruit and retain talent within the operations team.
  • Responsible for the key financial and efficiency measures, including GP percentage improvement, implementing lean principles and setting and managing the KPIs and bonus scheme.
  • Responsible to monitor and have oversight of the implementation of systems and processes within the team.
  • You would be responsible for delivering the company strategy from an operational perspective.
  • Produce operational plans for proposed acquisitions.
  • You would be part of the Leadership Team that is responsible for the day to day running of the business and implementing the strategy. This team is directly answerable to the shareholders.
  • Attend weekly Leadership Team meetings and quarterly offsite 90-day strategy meetings, as well as weekly Operations Team meetings.
Requirements:
  • A very high level of commercial awareness.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of the key financial and efficiency measures in operations.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other computer programs / systems.
  • A wide knowledge of the dental industry would be useful or intense initial training would be provided.
  • Experience within Technical / capital products highly desirable
  • Business experience in operations of a projects / field-service business model.
  • Dealing with, inspiring and motivating people to follow me.
  • A ‘holistic view’ of business.
  • A clear understanding of business accounting principles.
