With our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we have experienced rapid growth and are seeking an exceptional Operations Manager to drive our 'supply chain to warehouse operations' to new heights.

Role Overview: As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring streamlined processes, optimising inventory management, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. This is a hands-on role that requires a strategic mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive and drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to maintain accurate stock levels and minimise discrepancies.
  • Optimise warehouse layout and material flow to maximise space utilisation and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor the warehouse leadership team and staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management to drive productivity and ensure a high standard of work.
  • Continuously improve warehouse processes through data analysis, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Foster a culture of safety, enforcing strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to maintain strong relationships, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess warehouse performance and implement necessary measures to achieve targets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
  • Drive improvements in secure sustainable packaging and operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a warehousing or logistics environment, preferably in the lighting or similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and accuracy, efficient warehouse operations, and supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the aptitude to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and familiarity with relevant software applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • A strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to create and maintain a safe working environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (Flexi-time/Occasional Weekends Possible)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

Education:

  • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:

  • Operations management: 3 years (preferred)
