Re-Gen Robotics is revolutionising the oil tank cleaning industry in a range of confined spaces at refineries, pharmaceutical plants and in industrial settings. With the growth of the team and ambitious plans for expansions into new markets we are looking for a forward-thinking Operations Manager who will be able to drive the business forward and work towards Re-Gen Robotics values. If you are a person who enjoys travel and doesn’t mind being away from home on frequent basis then this is a job for you. Please note that this role requires overnight stays and travel will be over 70% of the time.
The right individual will be responsible for managing teams, increasing the productivity and morale. Troubleshooting trucks, robots and any issues arising ensuring downtime is minimal. Reporting directly to the Managing Director successful candidate will also be responsible for surveying client sites for costings and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate staff & plant on site ensuring projects are being completed on time and training staff
- Travel throughout UK with overnight stays most of the time
- Problem solving any issues arising on client sites
- Planning work on client sites, estimating timeframes and costs
- Responsible for health and safety on site, being a role model- adhering to and ensuring staff comply with health and safety rules and regulations
- Co-ordinate and work closely with the maintenance team
- Maintain equipment and ensure it’s being used in a safe manner
- Generate ideas for improvement in processes, looking for ways to reduce costs
- Troubleshooting equipment and site issues
- Assist in developing KPI’s and improved systems of work for efficiency, costs and safety
- Work closely and liaise with Contracts Manager
- Managing and safekeeping of daily records, check sheets
- Co-ordinate with Office Manger on most cost-effective method of travel and accommodation
Essential Criteria
- At least 5 years’ experience in Operations Management ideally in a similar industry leading teams within a fast-paced environment to achieve and exceed KPIs
- Able to travel throughout UK initially, expanding onto Europe with overnight stays usually 10 days on 4 off
- Exceptional leadership skills being able to delegate and co-ordinate work
- Excellent communication skills being able to build rapport with professionals at different levels
- Innovative, driven person
- Experience managing and growing teams
- Competent in the use of Microsoft office programmes, including outlook, excel, word etc
- Valid UK Driving License
- Ability to deliver high quality work with getting it right first time
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with oil refinery industry
- Educated to at least Degree level in Business, Engineering or similar field
Duration: Full Time Permanent
Location: Travel throughout UK and Europe with a base in Newry
Remuneration: up to £75k
