Operations Manager

Full Time: £30,000-36,000

Location: Oxford (Office Based)

Staffing & Operations

- Coordinating operations and the team throughout the year, overseeing all office operations with the support from the Deputy Operations Manager (DOM)

- To recruit, train and performance manage staff and ensure that they carry out their duties professionally, efficiently, and courteously

- Ability to work calmly under pressure, prioritise and manage a varied workload

- Dealing with day-to-day administration for programmes, e.g., booking accommodation, teaching venues, travel, and tours

- Identifying and negotiating with venues, tours, caterers and other suppliers.

- Co-ordinating and planning trips and tours within and outside Oxford for various parties.

Contractor and Supplier Management

– Reprise old relations, introduce new and ensure all contracts are negotiated to comply with all business and financial aspirations

- Managing existing suppliers relations including negotiating, researching new suppliers, and building stronger links with both.

- Forecasting future growth and strategic thinking

- Innovative thinking and confidence to challenge and improve things in an engaging manner with evident interpersonal skills

- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with an appreciation of different audiences

Financial controller

- Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems of control in order to improve efficiency and minimise financial risk

- Suppliers: Ensuring we are getting the best deals from our host accommodation partners and other suppliers.

- Account Holder: Ensuring we are invoiced for the correct amount by our suppliers
