An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in our forward-thinking Operations Department where full training will be provided. Oxford Innovation Space operates a network of business and innovation centres throughout the UK that provide flexible office, workshop and laboratory space with business support services throughout. Our clients are Universities, investors, and public sector organisations that contract with us to operate innovation centres and programmes to businesses.
This role is key in assisting the Operations team and supporting our staff to create operational excellence across the portfolio of Innovation Centres. Working alongside colleagues in the Operations team, you will ensure that Oxford Innovation Space continue to provide Innovative and attractive spaces whilst maintaining safe and compliant working environments, so that our Innovation Centres offer a market leading position. The centres are designed to encourage growth and connect a collaborative community of companies, business support organisations, and the wider innovation eco-system.
Main duties and responsibilities of our Operations Manager:
- Health and Safety compliance
- Facilities Management support
- Quality Assurance management
- Contractor and supplier procurement
- Cost control and budget management
- Setting, monitoring, and developing the standards of each centre’s presentation, cleanliness, and security
- Mobilising and setting up new centres
What we’re looking for in our Operations Manager:
- Experience in providing operational support across a portfolio of sites
- Experience in managing Health and Safety and Facilities Management
- Someone who is vibrant, friendly and with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Attention to detail/completer finisher
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Good communication skills, tactful and persuasive
- Clearly identifiable management skills in order to manage a team within a service environment, ensuring overall performance are maximised
