Oceandusk Group is a group of companies specialising in FIT, group and serviced apartment bookings. As an Inbound Tour Operator, we work with a large range of high-quality properties, from opulent 5-star deluxe hotels to 4-star hotels across key cities in the UK, Europe, USA and UAE. We pride ourselves in providing a personal service at very competitive prices, working in partnership with overseas Travel Agents and our Tour operators to generate individual and group tour programmes. Our services include providing luxury accommodation, designing incentive travel for groups, creating luxury experiences, arranging bespoke airport concierge assistance as well as organising the best spots for sports events and planning outstanding private jet trips.

The main responsibilities of an operations manager include handling the logistics of the organisation and overseeing the supervision of employees. The job holder will be expected to harness a working environment which encourages teamwork, energy and creativity. To achieve this, they should have strong leadership and excellent problem-solving skills along with good communication skills. This role requires someone with the ability to think on their feet and make quick decisions with little hesitation. Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant field.

Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.

Job Description

  • Conduct office management tasks
  • Ensure safety regulations are adhered to
  • Implement measure to provide motivation for employees
  • Oversee customer service departments and assess that they are meeting customer satisfaction goals
  • Prepare, revise and submit reports and other documentation
  • Dialogue with clientele about customer service issues or queries
  • Communicate information to the departments filtered for management
  • Perform training sessions
  • Implement quality management and regulatory compliance strategies
  • Review customer reviews and customer related statistics
  • Plan and implement marketing strategy, including advertising and PR
  • Plan and implement sales and customer retention and development
  • Contribute to formulation of policy and strategy
  • Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law
  • Delegate tasks to associates and assistant, where appropriate
  • Maintain administration and relevant reporting and planning systems
  • Maintain and develop corporate image and reputation, and protect and develop the company's brands via suitable PR activities and intellectual property management
  • Plan and manage internal communications and awareness of corporate direction, mission, aims and activities
  • Maintain Client Database
  • Implement Company Procedures
  • Supplier Site Inspection
  • Meetings on and off site
  • Occasional attendance to industry Exhibitions and Events
  • Relationship management with suppliers and clients
  • Negotiation on many levels – suppliers, clients, service providers
  • General Office Management, where necessary
  • Supervising, where necessary
  • Execute some of the responsibilities of General Manager according to lawful and ethical standards, where appropriate and reasonable, in his absence

Essential Skills

  • Excellent organisation, relationship building, communication (perfect English and other languages will be an advantage), planning and prioritisation skills, with strong attention to details
  • Commitment to providing world-class service to valuable customers
  • Friendly, passionate and expert in all that you do
  • Experience in handling customers’ contact and resolving queries.
  • Being proactive and aware of the business needs
  • Managing a team effectively

Advantageous Skills

  • Previous experience in a hotel or tour operator wholesaler environment
  • Previous experience working in the Middle East Travel industry
  • Verbal communication in English with a second language is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
