The postholder will work closely with clinicians, scientists and informaticians at UCLH/UCL to support the successful delivery of our ambitious research programmes in 4 research themes – translational neurology, dementia, mental health and hearing health. These 4 themes are using experimental medicine approaches to discover novel diagnostics and treatments for patients, through rapid translation of world class basic and discovery science at UCL into therapies at UCLH and other hospitals. The BRC’s themes are managed operationally by a team of Operations Managers, each responsible for a cluster of themes. The post-holder will take the lead on developing and coordinating operational management systems to enable the smooth running of the Themes and the delivery of Theme objectives. Key to the role is extensive strategic planning and co-ordination of research related information and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
The Theme Operations Manager is responsible for the operational management and strategic delivery of designated Themes within the BRC. Managing deployment of resources to optimize delivery of BRC activities, evaluating outcomes and overseeing development of the Themes.
