About Our Client

Michael Page are working a national FMCG business who are looking to recruit an Operations Manager for their site in Greater Manchester. This Food manufacturer has multiple UK sites, producing a range of well-known brands for various major retailers.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be tasked with leading and developing a high performing site team and ensuring the successful delivery of site KPI's, on time and to the required standards.

You will be tasked with:

• Ensuring production is running at optimal levels at all times and challenging existing output levels
• Responsibility for working to budgets and pro-actively identifying opportunities to reduce costs across site
• Provide training and ensure that the production team possess the relevant skills needed to ensure efficient performance
• Provide leadership and succession planning to drive a market leading culture

The Successful Applicant

This successful Operations Manager will possess the following:

• 
  A proven background in Operational Leadership within a fast paced Manufacturing Environment
• A demonstrable leadership acumen
• Ability to identify and develop continuous improvement opportunity across site
• Proven ability to align, engage and motivate team members and demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence to support workforce development
• Experience in effectively managing and reporting KPI's
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to excel within a pressurised environment and meet challenging deadlines
