Operations Manager (North London and Central):
The Operations Manager is a pivotal role in the success of our community support and accommodation services that are delivered in the North London region (covering several London Boroughs as well as Essex and Hertfordshire). We have a mixed portfolio of services and customer needs, ranging from customers living with Mental health, Learning Disabilities and Autism, Complex Needs, Young Adults and Later Living services. The successful candidate would be joining an organisation and a regional team which is looking to build on existing growth.
We currently have a vacancy for a fixed term operations manager to oversee some of our learning disability services. Managing a dispersed team, you will be responsible for supporting and developing your team and ensuring that customers receive a high-quality service. As part of the regional leadership team for our Care and Support services, you’ll be part of a team which is supportive and inter-dependent, knowing that we succeed together.
You will be required to work closely with our local authority and statutory partners and make sure services are delivered in line with required standards. In the role you will look to achieve positive outcomes for customers, be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual and business requirements whilst delivering excellent, personalised, value for money services for customers and commissioners.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Experience of managing supported housing in a range of customer groups (e.g. learning disability) over multiple sites is essential in this role as well as a positive approach to managing teams so they are able to achieve their full potential. We are looking for an individual who has a good understanding of the issues that our customers in supported & regulated housing may face and is able to create opportunities through collaborative and partnership working to help address those concerns. Additionally, we are committed to developing the Customer Voice and empowering residents to take an active role in the services that we deliver. You will also have a good understanding of what is required by commissioners and be confident in managing their expectations and developing positive relationships. The portfolio includes the management of accommodation, so good housing management knowledge alongside strong IT skills would be an advantage.

The nature of this role means that the post holder will be involved in regulated activity with vulnerable adults. To meet our commitment to providing safe, high-quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring Service, which will include a check of the Adult Barred list, once an offer employment is made. A new check will be completed every three years.
