What we are looking for
- Operational management experience
- The ability to take difficult and quick decisions in challenging pressurised situations to ensure minimised impact on the business
- A general knowledge of profit and loss, sales and margin are vital
- Highly organisational skills and a creative thinker, able to find innovative solutions and come up with new insights
- You’ll exude energy and passion and be able to show us how you’ve encouraged teams around you to optimally work towards a clear common goal
You’ll take direct ownership of the operation of our Madame Tussauds and Peter rabbit attraction on the famous Golden Mile. Supporting the Operations Director with the strategic direction and development of the business as part of the senior management team. Ensuring the highest levels of efficiency, guest experience, health & safety and profitability are maintained. You’ll also champion guest obsession across everything you do, from procedures to face-to-face interaction, role modelling guest service and communication; ensuring all business decisions are based around improving the experience for our guests.
Not only will you ensure all areas of the department enforce and operate to the highest standards of health and safety, but you’ll also create a strong culture built around the Merlin values, ensuring those within your teams are getting the vital development and mentored to achieve full potential.
You’ll take full advantage of the profitability of the attractions ensuring all commercial spends are maximised, the offers are constantly reviewed, and pricing/promotions produce the optimum return. In addition to this you’ll work closely with the Cluster Facilities Manager to ensure that the attractions are always maintained to the highest standards and to ensure operation efficiencies.
This is a full-time, permanent role and includes working a regular, fair share of weekends and bank holidays as required.
