Join Macquarie Capital’s Principal Finance Operations as a Fund Operations Manager where you will be focused on operational and portfolio management of two-funds based in Luxembourg and France.

You will be responsible for the operational management of a varied investment portfolio in London, covering investments from UK and Europe, from pre-settlement to maturity. As part of a larger global operations team, the regional team in London is responsible for a variety of debt transactions (bilateral and syndicated) across a wide range of industries in both the corporate and real estate sectors.

You will be an individual with a good understanding of fund operations as well as general middle office experience. Working closely with the fund administrator, fund manager, auditor, and key internal stakeholders, including front office, finance, risk, company secretary and legal teams, you will coordinate the ongoing management (including procedural set up, reporting, fees etc.) of the funds as well as the approval process. This will involve finalising operating procedures, maintaining records of fund positions, financial reporting, reconciliations, operational analysis and setting up controls.

You will also likely be a Subject Matter Expert for funds and carry our reoccurring fund specific deliverables. Examples include, but are not limited to; audits, board meeting organisation, Invoices / fee processing, quarterly reconciliation file review and approval, quarterly risk reporting / valuations, document execution, FATCA and other tax return obligations.

Ideally you will bring the following skills to this role:

• You will be tertiary qualified (accounting/economics/finance/business) with a strong academic record and your career aspirations will lie in fund or middle office operations
• Your previous experience in fund operations, banking or finance will have equipped you with sound organisational and time management skills
• In addition, you will have high attention to detail, ability to problem solve, the ability to remain organised in a dynamic environment and ability to work effectively meeting tight deadlines
• You will have the level of commitment to follow tasks through to completion

Your core knowledge will ideally include:

• You will also have 2-4 years in a similar operational role within a fund, banking or finance with experience of working with corporate loans and understanding of the bilateral and syndicated loan markets
• You will have the ability to create processes, strong numerical skills, accounting and an understanding primary and secondary loan administration
