Job Title : Operations Manager
Location : Lye
Hours : 40 hour working week - flexible on start times before 05:00am - 07:00am
Pay : £40,000 to £50,000 dependent on experience.
Jobsworth recruitment solutions are currently seeking an operations manager for busy Foundry client who specialize Iron castings and rapid prototyping.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experience operations manager or for candidate with long standing history working in foundries looking to take the next step in carer
Previous Foundry background is essential to be considered
Duties:
· Responsible for the management of operations over two sites based in Lye.
· Planning and coordinating activities to ensure production and quality meats specification.
· Ensure all activities are performed in line with established operating procedures.
· Working with accordance to the Quality Management Systems.
· Assist works manager with production plans and strategies.
· Ensuring safety and efficiency - implementing plans to move forward.
· Achieve monthly business objectives.
· Ensure plant equipment.
· Assist HR with any issues related to foundry operations such as Inductions, Training and Appraisals.
· Promote ideas to optimise productivity and output.
· Manage all KPI’s.
· Utilise and lead FMEA and PFMEA.
· Working towards 5S.
· Recommend and implement projects to improve business performance.
· Authorising hours for all operatives, team leaders, and supervisors.
· Developing and improving skills and knowledge of the team.
· Maintain up to date records
· Ensuring all relevant checks are completed.
Candidate skills needed
· Must have Foundry experience
· Proven ability in Managerial positions
· Able to implement procedures to improve processes
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
