Salary: £35k-£38k Per Annum (DOE)
Our client based in Portslade is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be supporting the Head of Commercial Operations by managing the team, data collection, dashboard activities and statistical reporting of the operations team.
Duties:
- Implement and deliver the company's strategy, ensuring agreed aims and programme targets are being met for the Seasonal Workers Programme
- Provide strong leadership for the team
- Support the Head of Commercial Programmes in developing and delivering on the organisations objectives
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in the team
- Ensure all dashboard activities are closely monitored and performance KPIs are achieved
- Drive improved reporting and KPI monitoring from the bespoke database system
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports on commercial activity compared to targets
- Maintain sickness and absence spreadsheets for the team
- Improve performance using 1-2-1s and annual performance development reviews
- Manage the day-to-day activities of 12 members of the team
- Participate in overseas agent audits
Requirements:
- Experienced in managing teams and writing appraisals
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Very strong Excel skills - creating reports by using macros and database connections
- Experience of driving performance improvement against several criteria
- Ability to multitask, remaining focused and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Excellent interpersonal influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to delegate effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise
- Pragmatic with focus on the solution not problems
- Conscientious, flexible and adaptable nature to support the team
- Capacity to be resilient under pressure
Hours: 35 hours per week. Occasionally you may be required to work additional hours during the evenings and work flexibly to do so
Hybrid but mostly in Portslade office, on all major bus route, train station is 5 min walk away and free parking. 20 mins from central Brighton
