The Company
Our well-known, respected, and growing building exterior maintenance business is looking for an Operations Manager to lead our field team. We operate across the Lower Mainland, providing services such as window washing, pressure washing, parkade cleaning, gutter cleaning, and dryer vent cleaning for commercial and strata buildings. We service both low rise buildings and high rise buildings (via rope access). In addition, we are able to keep our team busy in the winter by providing salting and snow removal services.
The Compensation
Compensation is very competitive, with base pay and bonuses expected to total $90-100K assuming targets are met.
The Role
Key activities include:
- Maintaining the schedule of all field employees to maximize efficiency and productivity while coordinating with our clients
- Confirming that jobs are finished on time and on budget, while meeting quality expectations
- Ensuring full client satisfaction with our work
- Ensuring that all safe work practices are followed
- Coordinating with contractors when necessary
- Leading key departmental meetings
- Recruiting field employees and contractors and coordinating their onboarding and training
- Conducting performance reviews and recommending compensation changes
- Providing input to the sales team regarding methods and pricing
- Leading our winter services team, which may require longer hours, weekend, and evening work, depending on weather conditions
The Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated success leading a field team of over 40 individuals (e.g. trades, etc.)
- Some industry experience (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency with standard business software such as the Google Suite, Slack, and CRMs like Salesforce.
- A positive attitude
The Location
The management team currently works from home. It is preferred that you live in the Lower Mainland (anywhere from Squamish to Hope) so you are able to visit work sites and conduct team meetings in person when required.
