We're implementing a new Flow Room at Frasers Group to further support our transformation. therefore we're hiring for a number of opportunities to be part of something truly remarkable.
In this newly created role as Flow Room Operations Manager, you'll utilise your skills and experience to lead the newly formed team to plan; delivering and exceeding target KPIs, whilst driving forward our visible programme of continuous improvement and a strategic development agenda.
An excellent opportunity to join our impressive state of the art 2.5m square foot Distribution Centre in Shirebrook, that's over 30 Football pitches, and is one of the most advanced warehouses within the UK during a period of exciting elevation and investment in this particular area. Shift pattern: Days: Monday to Friday 8AM – 5PM
- Leadership of the Flow Room team including Shift Managers, Technical Expert, Incident Managers, Senior Technicians and Technicians, taking ownership of flow room processes and cadence
- Proactively communicate with all stakeholder groups
- Leading the team in close partnership with Ops and Automation / Engineering teams to highlight and address areas of loss, waste and reduced performance, with options / plans to address
- Working with Ops and the Automation team on business cases to support significant change
- Driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Ensuring work plans are implemented across all shifts to process required volumes within agreed SLAs and assuring flow over the 24/7 period to plan
- Assuring flow is managed and maintained on every shift via a well-trained and aligned, capable team
- Validating that daily / weekly plans are coordinated and being adhered to, understanding why any gaps exist and recommending steps to address
- Actively supporting and project managing any site investments e.g. increasing output to higher design capacity
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment, managing a team in a Flow Room Logistics environment, including operational hours 24/7
- Attention to detail, Problem Solving & Data Analysis - Ability to collate and interpret large volumes of data and turn into clear conclusions and recommendations
- Direct and transparent communication with ability to constructively challenge, influence peers and other departments
- Technical knowledge including Microsoft, WMS
- Continuous Improvement principles and in particular “flow”
- Automation experience, proven capability with directing and coordination of automated systems of scale and complexity
- Operations / automation / planning experience – able to manage end to end flow processes through a complex business structure
