About the role:
o Ensure the safe storage of stock.
o Ensure all operational difficulties are responded to in an efficient and professional manner. Provide practical solutions to resolve any issues
o Ensure daily/weekly updates and/or reports are sent to line manger
o Ensure all work is implemented to the highest possible standard and in line with company KPI’s.
o Ensure that any temporary personnel are clear on their responsibilities and are completing delegated tasks to the required expectations.
o Development and implementation of processes
o Goods In and Dispatch, containers for export, picking and loading
Auditing and managing the inventory stock levels,
o Implementing and developing Workforce Performance tools to support genuine productivity improvements
o Ensure that targets and standards are achieved and procedures followed.
o Review KPIs and drive Continuous Improvement
o Ensure proper and correct use of the Warehouse
o Monitor and control the use of all depot based MHE equipment
o Ensure Resource Planning is sufficient to ensure the volume plan is achieved
o Providing advice and guidance to the operational management team to maximise the efficiency of the operation
o Identifying opportunities and initiatives for continuous improvements in ways of working, quality, consistency, and effectiveness
o Developing staff in various areas via PDPs, reviews, appraisals and regular conversations to drive performance
o Carrying out performance and absence management processes to ensure underperformance of individuals and teams is managed
· Management of the warehouse to supply accurate storage and order processing.
· General housekeeping, ensuring that the warehouse, loading bay, goods inwards and external areas of the building are maintained in an orderly manner and take
· to ensure safety guards are in place at all times, be aware of and comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
· Standardising procedures and developing performance management systems to enable best practice to be shared throughout the organisation..
· Update and maintain the WMS to provide accurate inventory records

Required skills & Experience:
· Must be able to work under pressure and adapt to changes
· Experience of working within a FMCG distribution environment is essential
· Previous experience of managing and leading teams is essential – this is a people leadership role driving customer service excellence and lowest cost distribution
· Change and Project management & problem-solving skills are obviously essential
· Strong leadership / management skills
· proven ability to take the lead and make decisions on shift
· Demonstrates leadership skills - Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic and an effective communicator in order to build and lead a high performing team
· A proven ability to performance manage, mentor and coach members of the Warehouse team
· Ability to co-ordinate and delegate within a team whilst remaining operationally hands on, with the capability to co-ordinate daily activities
· Methodical and able to demonstrate and ability to manage and prioritise workload and tasks
· Possess an understanding of warehouse management system and MS office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook
· Deliver a high level of accuracy in delivery (to schedule) and performance from the warehouse in Health & Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
· Work to department KPI`s, monitor performance and manage the daily volumes
The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, adaptive and open to change, have strong leadership skills and will have a vast experience and knowledge of taking full ownership for a fast-paced distribution warehouse

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
