Position: Operations Manager ( Back of House)
Location: Bristol Airport
Contract Type: Permanent (Full Time)
Shift pattern: : Monday to Friday (Role requires 24/7 oversight)

  • Fully accountable for daily operational performance of the back of house operation at Bristol Airport
  • Day to day on time Performance reporting, trend analysis & continuous improvement
  • Make our customer feel confident in how you run their operation with open and honest reporting
  • Managing 10 day outlook resourcing oversight
  • Lead Disruption Co-Ordination
  • Chair daily/weekly meetings
  • Manage colleague welfare
  • Line management of Station FLM's (First Line Managers) & Station S0M's (Shift Operations Managers)
  • Build key relationships with our customer and their 3rd party suppliers
  • OMS management of key tools to improve our practices

  • Previous management experience ( 1 year minimum)
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Aviation experience desirable but not essential
  • Ability to manage change processes
  • Ability to deliver results under stress
  • Coaching and active listening skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good balance of Results and respect approach
  • Ability to drive Standards within the direct team
  • Hold a full driving licence

Security Process to work within Aviation and Travel at DHL

  • Be able to provide 5 years address history
  • Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
  • To obtain a full airside ID
