Due to continuous investment into our operations, a fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Operations Manager at our Great Braxted site.
The role of the Operations Manager will be to take full operational and P&L responsibility for a multi-client site turning over £6m pa, comprising of nine warehouses totalling 280,000sqft on a 15-acre business park.
Overall management of the warehousing and transport operations including forwarding, administration and technical departments, predominately providing complete logistics and value-added services to the food ingredients industry.
Responsible for the effective and successful management of the departments’ productivity, quality control, customer service, health and safety measures and finances as agreed with the UK General Manager.
Serving as a company representative on regulatory issues, ensuring continuous improvement of the operational procedures, systems and processes. Whilst delivering accurate and insightful management reports and KPI’s.
Experience
Experience gained in a supply chain/warehousing industry for a minimum of 10 years in a Senior Management role.
Demonstrable management skills with an emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning.
3PL experience is beneficial
