We are delivering a digital skills programme for women who are not in education, employment or training.
We are looking to welcome another multi-project Operations Manager to our experienced team.
You will report into the Senior Operations Manager of Employability and sit within a team of Operations Managers delivering on up to 10 employability contracts funded by DWP, Barclays, Microsoft amongst others. This vast range of commissioners means we look for Managers who can easily communicate with a range of stakeholders and proactively react to requirements from commissioners.
You will manage both experienced and new starters so an ability to coach, support and performance manage is key. As an experienced Manager you will lead by example and embed our 3 P’s values in to programme delivery.
We seek a diverse workforce and therefore are open to a range of backgrounds and experience however seek an individual who is proactive, organised and resilient to deal with the varying demands of the role. Such demands include:
- Mobilising, developing, leading, and managing the digital skills programme for women.
- Ensuring employability contracts are delivered to an excellent standard, meeting contractual and organisational objectives whilst maintaining compliance needs.
- Ensuring that budget is managed and that programme is delivered efficiently.
- Organisational management; with commissioners, colleagues, employers, training providers, and service users. Write-up reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Working autonomously to achieve set objectives and provide supportive direct line management to the Advisors/Career Coaches, Service Managers, Employer Engagement, Administrative (dependent on contract). Engage with the Employability management team to support with growth and development of the division.
- Ensure excellence in overall delivery on contracts; achieving contractual targets across all areas – to coach and performance manage effectively in line with improvement plans.
- To ensure staff use the case management system and contribute to the performance management system.
- Operational Management of office sites; risk assess and manage day to day of office when required including regular visits.
- To be accountable for the recruitment, development and retention of staff.
- To be accountable for the effective implementation of policies in accordance with agreed plans and timescales and carry out periodic reviews and evaluation.

- Five GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above
- Relevant work experience relating to the role
- IT qualification
- Project Management experience
- Facilitation/PTTLLS qualification
Additional Information
Salary: From £38,001
Contract: Full time (37 weekly hours), fixed term contract
Location: County Durham area
Screening Required: An enhanced DBS check will be carried out on successful applicants before being offered this role.
