Carbon60 are currently working alongside a leading engineering company to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to lead the implementation and manage a new water treatment plant based on site with on of the UK's most well known food manufacturing business located in Scarborough.
This position will involve all aspects of operations management to ensure that contracted commitments are delivered.
Role Responsibilities:
- Implementation of quality, health & safety and environmental systems.
- Control of operational budgets and site performance.
- Establish and grow relationships with customers and subcontractors.
- Take the lead in contract negotiations.
- Support the wider engineering team with any training requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for on site customer.
- Asset Management.
- Liaise with other teams within the business such as finance, maintenance and technical development.
- Control of project costs.
- Analyse operational and process risks.
- Assist with the recruitment activities on site.
Role Requirements:
- Previous experience within a leadership/management role.
- Ability to manage a team of multiskilled staff (engineering, training, finance, quality, sales)
- the Ideal candidate will have a good technical understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Previous experience within the water or water treatment is highly desirable but not essential for this position.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent customer service skills with proven experience working with customer and clients.
- Business development experience.
