About the operations manager role:
The position of operations manager is an important role in the business. You will implement short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, and strategic plans, while being a leader who strongly displays the company culture and values. In a typical day as the operations manager, you will lead, manage and control the centres administrative, operational and health and safety procedures and practices.
Further key responsibilities of the operations manager include:
- To serve as line manager to all non-clinical/ancillary staff employed at the centre, including undertaking their supervision and appraisal processes
- To assist, support and guide your teams of staff in their day-to-day activities and to accept overall responsibility for the effective performance of their sections
- To become the health and safety representative for the hospital and effectively manage all aspects of health and safety
- Ensure all certification is obtained in a timely fashion, in line with corporate and agency standard compliance
- Ensure that the fleet vehicles are running effectively and legally
- Keep accurate audits
- Effectively manage a petty cash budget for the hospital
- Complete weekly staff payroll on our automated system
About you, the successful operations manager:
- Strong experience managing a variety of people and personality types
- A passion for team working
- Strong understanding of health and safety (certifications ideal)
- Ability to set performance and quality standards, to implement practice to support standards, and to monitor their effectiveness
- Strong initiative with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a team, while upholding company standards
- Process driven, always focused on the outcome
- Strategic planning skills and ability to multitask
- Previous operations manager experience within a healthcare setting is beneficial
