About the role
Title – CCTV Control Room Officer
Pay Rate – £12.61
Location – Oxford OX3 0BP
Shift Timings – 4 on 4 off nights
You will be working for a well known University where you will monitor CCTV during the shift and report any unusual activity to Line Manager/Duty Security Officer. You will also be required to respond promptly to the radio checks, made by the staff and keep accurate records of all communication.
Your main responsibilities may include:
- To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
- Monitor CCTV and Liaise with Officers on site to report any suspicious activity immediately via Radio.
- Log incident on the available reporting system and raise any critical issue with Site Supervisor immediately.
- Managing high levels of incoming and outgoing telephone calls to both clients and Security Team.
- Utilise software to ensure the required monitoring and compliance standards are met.
- Work as part of a monitoring team liaising with different Sites
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following :
- Valid CCTV badge, as well as a valid DS or MG badge.
- Applicants must have a 5-year checkable history.
- Must have good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage workload to meet team deadlines.
- Previous Security Experience
