OPERATIONS MANAGER
A temporary to permanent opportunity to work for a community-based charity that operates for the benefit of those who live and work in the Crystal Palace!
You will be responsible for the running of the town hall and all who work there. You will be responsible for reporting into the board, scheduling meetings and contributing. You will manage staff, funders and partners to ensure the community have what they need. In this role you will be managing the building as well as some financial support alongside the organisations accountant.

OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLE:
- Arranging and attend Board Meetings, completing reports, taking minutes
- Liaising with the company’s solicitor and advising the Board on legal and other matters affecting the Trust appropriately
- Ensuring compliance with Companies House and completing annual report for the Charities Commission
- Overseeing and being responsible for the company’s compliance with all other relevant regulations and laws.
- Managing staff and volunteers to ensure activities are monitored and evaluated to meet the requirements of funders and other bodies, are of a high standard and serve to inform future service provision
- Developing work plans and conducting performance reviews and appraisals
- Managing building maintenance, facilities contracts, and rate relief applications
- Overseeing bookings and payments of hall hire
- Controlling and managing building staff including caretakers and cleaners
- Controlling and managing all payments to staff and suppliers
- Liaising with Finance Officer to agree correct account allocations, reconciling the bank accounts
- Minimum of 4 years in an Operations Management role
- Experience line managing staff
- Experience managing a building
- Trustworthy and excited about helping people
