Marketing and Operations Manager
Salary: £30k (hours to be worked dependent upon experience)
Contract: 1 year fixed term contract

Main Purpose of Post
The Marketing and Operations Manager undertakes day-to-day administrative and marketing duties and co-ordinates a wide range of activities working closely with the Board of Directors.
● Working closely with the Animation Scotland board to deliver on the strategy outlined for 2023.
● Coordinating marketing activities including digital marketing, content creation, copy writing and – finding new opportunities to raise the profile of Animation Scotland through digital platforms
● Maintain the Animation Scotland Website ensuring content is up to date and relevant.
● Support the Animation Scotland PR activities including drafting press releases, creating press kits, newsletters, sending and posting listings as appropriate
● Support the Board in ensuring effective communication with all
Animation Scotland members.
● Manage all incoming enquiries.
● Support the Board to organise Board meetings and Committee meetings and take minutes.
● Support the Board with agreed tasks such as booking venues, workshops and events.
● Support keeping our activities moving and everyone in the loop.
● Being willing to take on a wide range of responsibilities as necessary to ensure the successful development of projects and the smooth running of Animation Scotland
● Research industry landscape
● Work with the events sub committee to organise events and community activities to support Animation Scotland's advocacy and fundraising activities.
● To represent the company at meetings, seminars, conferences and other public events whilst networking on behalf of Animation Scotland.
● In conjunction with the events & sponsorship sub committee coordinate events and community activities and oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up and networking on behalf of Animation Scotland.

Essential
● Minimum 2 year experience in an animation or screen sector role.
● Proven administration and marketing experience
● Excellent communication skills via phone, email and face to face with people from a range of backgrounds and communities
● Ability to work both independently and in a small team
● Ability to prioritise and manage time well
● Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
● Confident and willing to travel
● Flexible and willing to learn
● Good level of computer skills including email, Word, Excel
● Experience of website management
Desirable
● Experience of database management
● Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) or other digital design/image manipulation software
● Knowledge of basic film editing
