Applications are invited for the above post to appoint an experienced PA to support a Head of Department within the School of Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator, working in partnership with key PS and academic staff.
Core responsibilities include managing the Head of Department’s diary and acting as first point of contact for the Head of Department and other staff within the office; organising travel and accommodation for UK and overseas trips; producing regular and effective communication on behalf of the Head of Department to be circulated amongst department staff; servicing and organising regular meetings and events; maintaining staff records and other departmental records ensuring compliance with GDPR and other legislation.
You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision and to show initiative with good attention to detail.
Good IT skills are essential. Experience of using Oracle Financials is desirable.
The post holder will be assigned to a Department within the School, but will be employed by the School and as such may be required to support other areas, across the School.
