£95k - £105k + £6,500 car allowance + 20% employee pension, healthcare, death in service
Summary
My clients are a regional contractor, specialising in steel portal frame construction. With a turnover of £70m, they have the majority of workload in repeat business clients, with a supply chain that has been established for over 20 years. Joining as an Ops Director, you will have the opportunity to progress to Board of Directors within 6 months.
As the Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction operations. You will lead a team of Contracts Managers, Health & Safety experts, and dedicated staff while managing multiple ongoing projects, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards. Your role will be client-facing, from tendering to project completion, and you will be involved in defect management and the overall operational success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the operations team, including Contracts Managers, DM, H&S, and Defects personnel.
- Supervise a team of 30-40 staff members and site personnel.
- Handle client interactions, adapting your style to different client needs.
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors in shaping the business plan.
- Join the company's board of directors within 6 months.
Office and Travel:
You will spend 1-3 days a week in the office, handling a range of responsibilities, from high-level negotiations to on-site problem-solving. The rest of your time will be spent overseeing operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly on site.

Salary: £95,000.00-£105,000.00 per year
