Job description
We are looking to hire an experienced Operations Director to lead our UK operations team of 40+ people and partner with business leadership to deliver on our ambitious growth goals. You will have end-to-end ownership and report directly to the COO/CEO.
This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage the entire operations cycle in order to enhance business development and ensure customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES
As Operations Director, you will provide proactive support to the CEO and other members of the Management Team with shared accountability for MANUAL’s performance. You will have direct accountability and responsibility for our core UK operations including supply chain, pharmacy and service.
In a nutshell, you will be responsible for the smooth running of our UK business as well as ensuring our customers/patients have a positive experience, this means:
Liaising with management to make decisions for operational activities and setting strategic goals
Planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress
Partnering cross-functionally with the Product, Tech and Commercial teams amongst others to drive our quarterly planning process
Regularly evaluating the efficiency of business procedures according to organisational objectives and applying improvements
Acting as an internal consultant; identifying problems, designing and then implementing solutions
Overseeing customer support processes, and organising them to enhance customer satisfaction
Managing relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
Evaluating overall performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics
Ensuring that MANUAL runs with legality and conformity to established regulation
More than 8 years’ experience of operations (including lean services). A combination of consulting and corporate/start-up experience is ideal

Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
BSc in business administration, engineering, logistics, supply chain or relevant field, MSc/MBA and relevant qualifications a plus
