As Operations Coordinator in the Health and Social Care Data Driven Innovation Programme, your exceptional organisation skills and ability to build strong relationships mean you will play a central role in bringing the Programme’s vision to reality.

The Opportunity:
The Health and Social Care Data Driven Innovation Programme (HSCDDI) is hosted at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh. It is enabling service, commercial and academic interests from across the south-east region of Scotland, and beyond, to actively deliver data and digital solutions for the challenges facing the health and social care sector. The Programme’s capabilities include Dataloch, a best-in-class secure health and care data service, and an extensive data skills training and education initiative. The Usher Innovation Community will be the Programme’s main delivery vehicle and will consist both of commercial partners leasing space in the new Usher building, currently under construction at Edinburgh’s BioQuarter, and a virtual membership from across the health and social care sector in Scotland, the UK and more widely.

To help deliver health and social care solutions, the Community will be run by a core team which will develop and manage the membership model; establish a programme of engagement and marketing activity for health and social care stakeholders across the public, private and third sectors; provide operational support; and enable cross-regional co-ordination of innovation activity.

  • Support the development and implementation of the operational plan
  • Lead on the effective working integration with the Usher Institute operations staff and Estates facilities management
  • Support the Usher Innovation Community leasing partners and virtual members
  • Lead monitoring, and where necessary maintenance, of HSCDDI operational systems including reporting (KPIs, impact, use cases, performance management), financial, and innovation community membership
  • Lead development and management of systems and methods to deliver shared team resources; operational processes; and calendar of HSCDDI activities

Informal enquiries may be directed to Dr Marcus Harrison, Director Health and Social Care Data Driven Innovation Programme ([email protected]).
