Role Summary
The Retail Operations Coordinator supports daily operations of the company store and provides outstanding customer service to Alaska Air Group’s (AAG) internal and external customers. As an individual contributor, this role supports company store tasks including supporting promotion initiatives, processing transactions, and inventory management.
Key Duties
- Supports day-to-day operations, customer interactions, transactions and communication.
- Provides outstanding customer service and maintains a positive and upbeat tone for the customer experience.
- With limited direction, manages the floor presentation, stock levels and housekeeping for the store location and ensure opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Utilizes knowledge of reporting levels (e.g., safety, replenishment, and obsolete stock) to monitor inventory and to ensure adequate supplies to meet the annual business plan for store sales.
- Maintains inventory storage and communicates with manager to identify inventory challenges and makes recommendations to sell aged inventory.
- Supports buying products (new and replenishment) as approved by the manager and coordinates logistics for shipping from the supplier.
- Supports purchase order process, receiving and prepping store inventory system for incoming products.
- Develops positive, collaborative internal and supplier relationships.
- Shares customer feedback and provides input into new opportunities to generate excitement and sales.
- Manages website sales and inventory levels at warehouse and Company store. Orders in inventory as needed.
- Manages company store website by monitoring descriptions, photo images, and costing.
- Prepares for and attends all company-sponsored events that require company store presence.
- Under the direction of the manager, helps assist and support training with new hires and temporary company store employees.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
- 2 years of experience in a customer service-related industry.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- Prior experience in retail customer service is strongly desired.
- Excellent customer service skills demonstrating care and excellent follow through in helping customers with purchase decisions and questions about available merchandise.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to cope with conflicts caused by competing priorities.
- Active listener who values diverse perspectives and fosters an inclusive environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with an emphasis on collaborative teamwork.
- Ability to listen perceptively, convey awareness, establish rapport, and trust with others.

Salary Range
$72,600 - $108,800 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
