Responsibilities
Driving, Operations, Warehousing, Customer Services
This is a varied role and requires somebody with a flexible attitude to work. You will be required to work in a very small team environment, guided by your managers, making telephone calls, and dealing with customer queries and assist in all Customer Services, Operations, Warehouse and Driving duties as required by the business.
Driving, areas include but are not inclusive of, London, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Oxfordshire, Manchester, Bicester, and Birmingham.
Your duties will also include the following.
All general administrative duties
Driving
Checking for all pods and tracking, chasing information that falls outside of acceptable deadlines and ensuring that notes are input on all jobs handled by yourself.
All customer services related duties, responding to these within company timescales.
Making outbound calls to customers that are expecting deliveries confirming delivery dates and confirming address details.
Ensuring that jobs you have processed have the correct costs and insurance values as required.
Assisting in the warehouse, forklifting goods in and out and ensuring that all correct paperwork is signed for and recorded as required by the business.
Processing jobs in the evening preparing them to be handed over to agents along with all the relevant paperwork and ensuring that all is signed for and is present and correct.
Responsible for the maintenance of the warehouse to ensure a clean and tidy operation both inside and outside the facility. Regular housekeeping checks will be made by the Head of Operations or the General Manager. Customers visit the facility both announced and unannounced and it is imperative the working areas are kept as clean and tidy as possible.
Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management. You may also be required to work additional hours and cover holiday and busy periods when needed.
Experience required.
- Min age 25 (this is stipulated by our Insurance Policy for Drivers)
- Happy to work in a small team environment where you will perform several different tasks
- Maximum of 3 points on your driving license
- Experience of courier driving
- Courier Operations Experience
- Basic IT knowledge
- Courier Customer Services Experience preferred
- Own transport to get to and from work
- No criminal record
- Able to provide good references
- A stable work history
- Be reliable and trustworthy
- Able to work well in a small team and preform several different tasks
- Be friendly and presentable as this is customer facing role
- Able to operate a forklift advantageous but not essential
- Be organised and methodical
- Friendly can-do attitude
