We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join our team based in Manchester in their new offices in the city centre.
We are award winning environmental design consultants and building services engineers who are committed to high-performance and sustainable design within the built environment.
Our skilled teams deliver a range of services from building services engineering, environmental consultancy, lighting design and fire engineering.
Reporting to the Manchester Director the successful candidate will be experienced and confident in all administration tasks, with a strong emphasis on organisation management.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Routine administration duties, including mail distribution and answering phones/greeting visitors
- Meeting room setup
- Stationery and office sundries ordering
- Assisting the design team with any event tickets and travel arrangements
- Monitoring the engineer team’s adherence to the in-house filing and naming standards
- Overseeing and maintaining project drawing register and make sure that engineers have the latest information packages from the design team
- Receive, file and issue all drawings, schedules and other documents to design team
- To assist with scanning, printing and filing, including printing drawings and documents in various size formats from A4 to A0
- To support the engineering team with presentations, collating presentation documents, binding and meeting set-ups
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to work to tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft packages
- A pleasant telephone manner and experience of dealing with telephone enquiries
- Knowledge of online platforms for drawing uploads is advantageous
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign would be helpful although training will be provided
- Background in construction/design is advantageous
Hours will be 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
