Job description
We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and organised individual to join our customer service team as an Operations Assistant supporting our Lindamood-Bell Learning Centre. Responsibilities include supporting our Office Manager by answering the phones, processing information requests, collecting payments, and other projects/general office work as assigned.
This is a regular full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Answering phones, transferring calls, checking voicemail, and processing messages
- Act as break monitor, overseeing students’ breaks
- Use various computer programmes to process payments, manage expenses, build schedules, and edit timesheets
- General office duties including, filing, watering plants, organising bookshelves, and general office clean up
- Work with IT Department to support technology needs at the Centre
- Manage a physical filing system and move equipment around as required, for example computer monitors
- Perform occasional errands outside of the office
- Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive work environment
Requirements:
- A-levels, or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in an office environment
- Intermediate computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet utilisation
- Desire to work in an environment with children and families
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Must pass pre-employment screening and clearances
Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is £20.70 per hour.
