Operations Assistant Bonnybridge, Scotland

GCM Services are a specialist demolition and industrial dismantling contractor based in Central Scotland providing services to a number of high-profile blue-chip clients across the industry. We have specific expertise in high-risk environments undertaking a wide range of complex deconstruction activities from petrochemical plant decommissioning within live environments to city centre building destructs. Due to exponential growth GCM Services have an exciting new opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join our team and work closely with our Operations Manager.
As a key team member, you will play a vital role in supporting all departments and duties will include:
- Maintaining various Plant, Equipment & Vehicle Registers.
- Inspecting all Work Equipment before it is issued and upon its returned, disposing of any defective equipment correctly.
- Making arrangements for all Work Equipment to be serviced/calibrated.
- Carrying out plant, welfare and skip maintenance where required (e.g., painting skips or cabins) and/or liaising with suppliers where appropriate.
- Setting up and closing off sites including putting up Heras fencing.
- Review plant, vehicle and work equipment checklists completed by site personnel and take forward any comments.
- Liaise with, and arrange MOT’s, services, inspections, and other maintenance for company vans and lorries.
- Download and review digital tachos.
- Check deliveries to the site(s)/Head Office including hired in plant.
- Maintain warehouse and yard and ensuring it is kept tidy.
- Attend and participate in Health & Safety meetings as company HSE Representative.
- Fire Marshall & First Aider for Head Office.

- Prepared to work outdoors in all weathers.
It would also be advantageous if you had awareness/experience of the following:
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation including PUWER and LOLER.
- Knowledge of completing/reviewing Risk Assessments.
- Experience of PAT Testing.
- Experience of Digital Tacho.
- First Aid at Work Certification.
- Fire Safety Regulations.
This position will mainly be based within our Head Office located in Haggs, Bonnybridge however there will be times you will be required to travel to various site locations, for this reason a full clean driving licence is essential.
This is a full-time permanent position; working hours will be Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm and Friday 7.30am to 3pm. Salary will be dependant on experience.
