Operations and Logistics Manager - Cargo Bike London, England
Job description
We are looking for a experienced manager who has previously organised a team of between 5-10 people within a logistics environment and that has a passion for cycling.
Hugo is a start up cargo bike courier company that has expanded rapidly through its increasing customer base and high level of personal service. As this is a company at its early stages there are lots of opportunities to grow and develop internally within the business.
The typical roles you will be expected to perform are;
Rota and shift planning for riders - we work with an easy to use rota planning app that allows us to plan our schedule with riders so they are aware the exact shifts.
Route planning - this will require you to be good at working with our delivery software on top of planning an effective route for our riders. You will be required to have knowledge on pervious delivery software and be well organised and proficient at planning.
Hiring and team management - You will be required to hire riders and provide an initial training structure to help riders with there development. This role will also require monthly appraisals with the riders to ensure that there needs are being meet and assessment for any improvements.
Sourcing clients and relationship management - this part of the role will require you to be customer facing with a high level of personal service and ability to develop relationships. Sourcing new clients will result in additional bonuses that will be paid out as commission outside of the contracted hours.
General bike mechanics is advised but not necessary however what is necessary is a passion in cycling and fitness as this is what has been instilled in the company since its beginning.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
