Operations and Events Planner

Location: Warwick Head Office with Hybrid
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)
plus Bonus up to 5% of Salary.


Volvo Group UK are looking for an experienced and outgoing Operations and Events Planner to join us within Volvo Penta UK & Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with a real drive and passion to deliver excellent customer service to join our friendly and energetic Business Support team.

You will be based at the Head Office located in Warwick, with some hybrid work from home available. The Volvo Penta UK & Ireland team comprises 28 specialists with an incredible breadth of skills, knowledge and experience, whose dedication to their roles ensures that we support our customer's success. Your role …

You will be integral to our business, ensuring that communication and best practice processes work efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for managing and organising all internal and external events, as well as assisting with budget management, supplier management, purchasing and processing of invoices.

Main responsibilities:
  • To organise and manage all VPUK & IRL events, exhibitions, dealer conferences and external meetings, in accordance with the business strategy to meet time, budget and quality parameters.
  • Coordinate team meetings, internal events and special awards and enabling good team interaction.
  • Organise external meetings and exhibitions (UK and abroad) to include facility booking, attendee coordination, travel arrangements, accommodation, and promotional materials.
  • Manage supplier purchase orders, requisitions and invoices, liaising with AR & AP teams to ensure payments are made within the correct timeframes

Required knowledge/skills & qualifications:
  • Experience of event planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Hold a full, valid driving licence.
