Job description
The Commercial Operations function is accountable for all trade lifecycle events from execution to settlement.
The team are responsible for delivering the end to end processes for Standard and Complex products ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness to support real-time trading positions and robust PnL reporting.
The Commercial Operations Analyst will support the business to build and operate a controlled, stable platform and to achieve its ambitious growth targets. This will require BAU to be delivered proficiently, and the candidate to continually look for improvement and optimisation in the processes performed.
The role is based out of our London offices (close to Marble Arch).
The Job Role:
Operate the defined processes and appropriate controls to enable trades to be executed and booked in the relevant ETRMs, ensuring timeliness, validity and accuracy
Proactively respond to and resolve trade lifecycle issues and queries to ensure a seamless process and provide intraday resolution
Drive improvements and support the implementation of automated solutions in operational support activities to ensure that the team is constantly improving to deliver required efficiencies
Responsible for supporting the on boarding of new counterparts, products and structured contracts. This will require effective communication with multiple stakeholders
Responsible and accountable for the effective management of all EM&T static data, complying with associated Group onboarding policies and procedures.
The Person:
Have worked in a Trading or other fast paced high delivery / high accuracy systems / deadline driven environment is desirable
Good understanding of a control function and working knowledge of operating control processes
Working knowledge of static data management and KYC processes
Ability to manage disparate problems simultaneously in a highly pressured real-time trading environment
Be a competent, effective, and pro-active problem solver, liaising with various business functions, to deliver timely solutions to any onboarding, regulatory and deal capture issues
Excellent working knowledge of all aspects of trade lifecycle
Strong delivery, compliance, accuracy, and attention to detail
Ability to advise, challenge and communicate effectively across teams, and take ownership for results and delivery. You will be comfortable managing multiple projects at once and take accountability for delivering on strict deadlines
