About this Role
HospitalityOnCampus is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join its hospitality team as Operations Administrator.
This is a dynamic and critical role for the department to help facilitate the smooth running of the day-to-day activities by delivering administrative support to the HospitalityOnCampus team, including coordination of catering orders, invoicing and supplier purchasing administration.
Based within the central production kitchen, the role holder will be the key link between the bookings administration team, central kitchen team, and the operational areas on campus.
The post holder will support the Operations Manager and Head Chef effectively run the operation and department, including helping support the coordination of menus and allergen information, EPOS and stock administration, together with supporting coordinate weekly and monthly reports. During busy periods throughout the year, the role will also support the booking administration team with catering orders for schools/departments across campus.
Although the role is part-time, there is considerable project work available over the next 12-18 months that will help to grow the role with further work available, and is ideal for candidates looking to get involved in an administrative project. Projects include:
- Role out of carbon footprint software and grading on all our menus
- Introduction of new stock system
- EPOS coordination across the department
- Administrative improvements and streamlining, including the introduction of new software to improve the HospitalityOnCampus booking processes.
Applicants should have a professional qualification in a business administration-related subject with revenue accounting control and/or demonstrable professional skills and knowledge to the requirements of the post gained through relevant industry experience. Sound written and verbal communication is essential, along with a good understanding of IT and industry software.
Candidates should have the ability to prioritise their own workload in meeting requirements and deadlines, together with a natural positive attitude towards a busy/pressurised environment and the ability to work flexibly across the week to the requirements the business.
This is currently a part-time role, working 20 hours a week across 5 days, however with the project work that has been identified, there will be an opportunity for further hours depending on business levels and support required.

HospitalityOnCampus
HospitalityOnCampus is responsible for the provision of all hospitality, events and dining services across the university campus, including within some key, iconic venues and facilities such as Manchester Museum and Whitworth Art Gallery.
