This is a great opportunity for an Operational Risk Analyst to join the Operational Risk & Resilience Control team with specific focus on supporting Change Risk Management activities.
The whole Team works to protect Santander UK capital and reduce volatility of profits by their activity in defining, directing, and embedding effective operational risk & resilience management policies and practices across all levels of Santander UK group and its third parties. The Team also monitors Risk appetite and reports the firm wide Operational risk profile, ensuring that action is taken to maintain the profile within the Board’s operational risk tolerance.
The difference you’ll make
Becoming the first point of contact within the Operational Risk Department for any requests relating to Operational Risk Assessments or documents submitted to Operational Risk & Resilience Control for review.
Monitoring of Operational Risk Control mailboxes to ensure all items submitted are captured and logged.
Maintaining the Product/Change approval log, tracker and Wave system ensuring all items received are logged/tracked/monitored through to final approval, ensuring all documents are stored for evidence and initiatives are appropriately allocated within the team.
Ensuring the Transformation & Change Risk Management Policy and Procedures, Risk best practice guidance & Operational Risk Assessment template document are kept up to date and refreshed when required and are available for Line1/Business.
Reporting of Transformation & Change Risk to inform the Transformation & Change Risk profile, supporting on submissions to, and preparation for key Change governance forums and to senior management.
Supporting the development of Transformation and Change strategy by delivering enhancements to Transformation & Change risk assessment tools (Project Risk Rating and Operational Risk Assessments) and risk governance processes and controls.
What you’ll bring
Good theoretical understanding of operational risk management and control methodologies, as well as their successful application.
Good communication skills and an ability to juggle various activities and deadlines
It would also be nice for you to have
Education equivalent to degree calibre or equivalent work experience
Relevant professional qualifications
Good knowledge of MS Office in particular Excel and Power Point skills.
