About the role:
We are seeking highly motivated, self-starting Operational Researchers, Analysts, Statisticians or Data Scientists who are able to lead a variety of programmes in support of Research, Science and Technology projects. The role of the Operational Research Analyst (ORA) sits within the Operational Analysis and Strategic Consulting Teams (OA&SC) as part of our Cyber, Analysis and Mission Solutions discipline. Our OA&SC Teams provide QinetiQ and our customers with expertise in Operational Research, strategic thinking, options analysis, qualitative methods and quantitative modelling: delivered through a variety of analytical tools and techniques.
What will I be doing?
The majority of work is currently with UK MOD clients but we are also becoming increasingly directed towards the global defence industry and beyond into civil applications. The work we do embraces land, air, sea and C4I systems, as well as emerging technology and innovation providing expert analysis and driving research projects forward.
Our clients are in a wide variety of locations, so travel within the UK will be necessary and a willingness and ability to travel to client sites around the UK is important.
What do I need?
Strong understanding of operational analysis/research, qualitative methods and quantitative methods
Educated to degree level in a STEM subject
Driven to solve interesting problems and a passion for the military
