Operational Food Trainer
Job description
Operational Food Trainer, 38K, plus car allowance, remote position, travel between our 28 managed houses across the Northwest, Cheshire, Cumbria, North Wales, and Yorkshire is required, so you will require a valid driving license and your own transport.

That is why we now require an experienced Operational Food Trainer to join our Training team. We are looking for someone who is able to help design and deliver effective training and development to develop people and teams who deliver exceptional customer experiences through delivering exceptional food to ultimately improve business performance.
We are looking for someone that has previously worked in a high-volume kitchen, preferably at Head Chef level, but has now moved into a training role, where they can share their passion and knowledge for food with our kitchen teams.
The Operational Food Trainer will providethe expertise to enable our teams to achieve operational excellence within each and every kitchen to support the delivery of the food KPIs.
Training is one part of the role but being responsible for and upholding our high food standards is equally important and is something we’re incredibly proud of, so you will play your part in the team to continue to achieve this excellence not only through training and coaching, but through supporting new menu launches and helping our kitchen teams to understand their areas of opportunity through following up on action plans and identifying unique areas of support required on a site by site basis.
New openings are an integral part of our business, so you will also lead our new site opening plan to effectively welcome employees and showcase our food offering through the effective delivery of great training and our amazing food.
You will need to be comfortable leading a conversation, representing your field of expertise within projects to support business growth, so the ability to manage your workload effectively and to multitask is a must, as is your thirst for continuous improvement.
To be a successful Operational Food Trainer we are looking for the following:
- An accomplished Head Chef or Area Support Trainer of a managed pub or restaurant operation.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of all aspects of managing a high-volume kitchen operation.
- An ambassador of operational excellence.
- A confident leader who can engage with teams of all levels.
- Passionate about people.
- You put food quality at the heart of everything you do.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Impactful presenter - capable of engaging different audiences.
- Outstanding training and facilitation skills. Sound coaching and mentoring skills.
- Competent in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to support business needs
