Your role:
As an On-site Service Engineer, you are the face to our customers. You will help to manage our growth in our service business by delivering excellent work, strong customer commitment and engagement. You ensure that the customer’s expectations are met every time. You consult the customers and provide timely service support for technical problems, monitoring, testing and demonstrations either on site or remotely trough high tech tools. This has a positive effect in minimizing downtime, reducing costs, or promoting our product capabilities in the case of a test or demo.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Provide front line support for key field service activities at OEM site and customer sites ensuring a strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Undertake all maintenance activities (including installation and commissioning) of Edwards products in line with Edwards global standards, whilst ensuring complete customer satisfaction
- Conduct basic fault finding and troubleshooting support in order to resolve or escalate issues within the agreed contractual timeframes in order to meet customer expectations
- Conduct all field service activities within the boundaries of all applicable regulations, policies and procedures to ensure organisational, safety and health obligations are met. Adheres to all relevant aspects of the risk control elements.
- Provide detailed and accurate feedback on activities and compiles clear and concise reports for submission to the line manager and/or technical support to enable informed decisions to be made to resolve product issues
- Undertake routine stock audits and take responsibility for ordering and booking of spares for site stock.
- Undertake the set-up, operation and maintenance of software products and monitoring platforms
- Use Edwards processes and operating platforms to accurately capture service related information as determined by the scope of responsibility for creation of field service notifications and orders, through to completion
What you will have:

Your skills and experience will include:
- Previous experience working in a field service and/or technical support role – ideally customer facing
- University or formal qualification in a mechanical, electromechanical or an electronics discipline
- A passion for working in a scientific/technical environment
- Able to use computer software to record data and write reports
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in Vacuum or similar would be an advantage
- Full valid UK Drivering License
- Occasional travel to customer sites and workshops / offices within the CC territory as required
- Live within a 25 miles radius of Wilmslow
