Online English tutor position for Britmates, a Korean platform which connects freelance English tutors from around the globe with students in South Korea. Job Description:
- Teaching a wide range of students (elementary students to adults) through Zoom at scheduled hours (all classes are conducted online)
- Teaching 15- or 30-minute classes covering a variety of subjects based on students’ needs such as reading, grammar, writing, and speaking. All teaching material provided.
- Completing daily and monthly reports to track progress for students. Reports are compensated separately from working hours.
Requirements:
- Tech-savvy and can manage technical issues that arise with remote teaching.
- Equipped with digital devices for remote work e.g., PC/Mac, laptops, webcam, headphones, microphones, etc.
- Good organization and time-management
Compensation:
- Rates are open to discussion – upon a 3 month interim period we offer a pay raise.
- Opportunity for full-time positions following an interim period and performance assessment.
Working Hours
We are looking for teachers who can work within one of 3 positions. Teachers who can work on both weekdays and weekends are highly preferred.
First Position
-Weekdays AND Weekends (6 to 7 days)
Second Position
-Weekdays only (must choose at least 2 blocks)
Third Position
-Weekends only
Time Blocks
Extra 14:00 - 16:00 in Korea Time (KST)
Block A: 16:00 - 19:00 in Korea Time (KST)
Block B: 19:00 - 22:00 in Korea Time (KST)
Block C: 22:00 - 1:00am in Korea Time (KST)
