About the Trust - The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust provides highly-specialist cancer care for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.
In June 2020, we opened Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Liverpool, our spectacular new cancer hospital in the heart of Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, providing state-of-the-art facilities as part of a £162m investment. Alongside our flagship hospital in Liverpool,
Together, working across three sites and operating specialist chemotherapy clinics in four of Merseyside's district hospitals, we deliver a comprehensive range of inpatient care, advanced radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies including gene therapies and immunotherapies.
Working with leading experts from the University of Liverpool, we strive to stay at the forefront of novel treatments and techniques to deliver more effective and personalised treatments.
To apply for this post, you will/have:
· A minimum of 6 months paid experience as an Care Support Worker Band 2 within the last 2 years.
· Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
· Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual.
· Be able to work under own initiative and without direct supervision.
· Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients.
· Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies.
· Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines.
· Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards.
· Undertake regular mandatory training.
