Onboarding Specialist
Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an expert in recruitment Onboarding, Background Screening and Immigration. We’re hiring expertise at high volumes from all over the world, and this role is crucial in providing specialist advice, ensuring our employees are legally compliant and onboarding successfully and in a timely manner.
Key Accountabilities:
Supporting the Onboarding Manager and working as part of an onshore and offshore team of 16, you’ll ensure that National Grid is legally compliant with all aspects of UK legislation pertaining to UK Law and Immigration guidelines set out by the Home Office. You’ll provide expert advice for all areas of pre-employment screening, Right to Work (RTW), Visa and Onboarding activities, ensuring the appropriate controls are in place to mitigate risk, using SuccessFactors.
You’ll deliver training to stakeholders to improve compliance; specialist guidance to Recruiters and Line Managers on Relocations, Visas, Right to Work & Global Mobility; assist with Pre-employment screening (ensuring compliance with UK Physical Security Policy and that risks are mitigated in terms of insider and imposter threats are negated); Home Office reporting; and audit monthly key processes and data points to ensure the highest compliance standards are met. We’re always looking to improve our processes, so a thirst for continuous improvement is always well regarded!
About You:
You’re a highly experienced Onboarding, Immigration and RTW professional with the desire and ability to play a significant and leading role in a growing team - able to respond quickly and efficiently to demanding timescales, and often highly complex queries. You have sound knowledge of Pre-Employment Screening processes in a high-volume environment and can demonstrate strong business acumen in commercial analysis and current trends. You’re a team player, diligent, focused and organised, able to manage multiple projects and many stakeholders.

A competitive salary between £47,000 - £53,000 (dependent on experience)

Further Information:
We offer a hybrid and flexible working approach, a mix of office working in our Warwick office (1 day per week, or 2 days in a fortnight) and the rest home working. We can also offer some flexibility in terms of hours / times if required. Our standard working week is 37 hours.
