On-boarding Assistant
Right now we have an exciting opportunity for an On-boarding Assistant to join our People/HR Team to cover at both our Stoke Distribution Centre and our brand new Stafford Fulfilment Centre
The Role:
The Onboarding Assistant will be responsible for providing an operational coordination service to the business and team at both Stafford and Stoke locations, we will require you to be flexible in terms of travelling between both locations. You will be responsible for supporting the hiring managers with the processes and tools to enable them to ensure Pets at Home Group has the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Ensuring the candidate experience is seamless with their on boardng process and readying them to start with us and utilising success factors to deliver an end to end people service. You will work closely with the Support Office Talent Acquistion team to ensure we have the very best people joining our teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring a seamless transition for the candidate from recruitment and initial offer through to start date.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and support the operational team with arranging D&A and right to work checks.
- Conduct numeracy and literacy testing in a controlled and fair conditions for all Warehouse Colleague candidates
- Manage Embarkation diary and create Embarkation packs which include rota, pay dates, first 3 days at PAH, absence line information, name badge and fob allocation.
- Support and encourage compliance with policies and procedures throughout the resourcing lifecycle, including ensuring comprehensive and accurate information is maintained in key systems to ensure consistent standards across the team
- Responsible for ensuring a seamless transition for the candidate from recruitment and initial offer through to start date.
- Accountable for temp to perm agency recruitment, through liaising with the site resource planning Manager regarding volume recruitment forecasts and communicating with all key stakeholders on the plan each period.
- Accountable for organising and delivering induction days for all agency temp to perm colleagues across days/noons and night shifts and preparing all paperwork ready for each candidate, liaising with the Operational Teams and H & S to deliver their segments on the day.
- Processing payroll numbers on uniform order and working closely with site administrator regarding new starter orders. Collating all colleague paperwork and updating personnel records where appropriate
