The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for an On-Call Production/Assistant Event Chef to join our talented team in our cookery school, Sauce by The Langham. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and production of food and food preparation and engage with our guests during events and to support the hosting chef in delivering positive memorable cooking experiences.
In the role of On-Call Production/Assistant Event Chef, your key focus will be to:
- assist the Kitchen Manager in the preparation and production of food and food preparation
- ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times
- ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the hotel
- communicate well with all colleagues and to engage with our guests during events
- support the hosting chef in delivering positive memorable cooking experiences
Do you have? –
- previous similar experience and keen interest in the food industry
- previous similar experience
- ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- good interpersonal and communication skills
- excellent attention to detail
- food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications
