About the role
This role in our team supports the movement of traffic across Oxfordshire by responding to both planned and unplanned events. This happens within a framework of legislation to guide you - notably the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the County Council’s Permit Scheme.
If you join our team, you will work with internal Teams to optimise traffic signal strategies to alleviate congestion and promote the use of active travel and public transport through engaging with our community with real-time updates to social media and roadside information displays.
The role also supports our organisation, staff and partners to better understand the impact of roadworks, incidents and events across the Oxfordshire’s roads by providing reports and feedback on levels of congestion and the effectiveness of traffic management arrangements, this also helps to improve network management procedures.
Is this you?
Working on a shift system that includes weekends we have opportunities for new staff to monitor the network, identify issues and find solutions.
